Privacy Policy — AiVery Think

AiVery Think is a chat client for your Aivery memory — you talk to your AI agent and it remembers what matters, so you stop repeating yourself. It's built directly on Aivery's memory engine (Cortex and Fabric), which is why, unlike a typical notes app, most of what you do in Think is inherently a conversation with a server. This policy explains what that means for your data.

An Aivery account is required

Think requires an Aivery API key to sign in — there's no local-only mode. Once you're signed in, the app is a client for your Aivery account: your chats, memories, and account data live on Aivery's servers, not just on your device.

What's sent to Aivery's servers

• Chat messages — what you type (and any image you attach) is sent to Aivery's Cortex service to generate a reply, and both your message and the reply are saved as your conversation history.
• Memories — content Think saves as a memory, whether from a chat, the "Remember in Aivery" Siri Shortcut, or the share extension, is stored on your Aivery account so it can be recalled later.
• Location (optional) — if you grant location access, Think attaches your approximate location to memories so you can search them later by place. This is entirely optional; the app works without it.
• Photos you choose to send — an image you pick to include in a chat message is uploaded as part of that message. Think doesn't access your photo library beyond the image you actively select.
• Chat style and system prompt — any persona or instructions you set in Settings are sent along with each chat request so your agent responds the way you've configured it.

This data is used to power your conversations and your memory — it is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

Custom AI provider (optional)

If you configure a custom model provider (for example your own Ollama or OpenAI-compatible endpoint) in Settings, your prompts are routed through Aivery's Cortex service to that endpoint using the credentials you supply, instead of Aivery's default model. Cortex acts as a relay for that request; the response is not stored by the custom provider on Aivery's behalf.

What stays on your device

Your API key and agent ID are stored in the iOS Keychain. UI preferences — theme, chat style presets, plexus/animation toggles, and (if configured) your custom provider settings — are stored locally in UserDefaults. None of this is synced anywhere by Think itself; it's local to this device, or shared only with Think's own widget and share extension via an App Group so they can act on your behalf while signed in.

Siri & Shortcuts

The "Remember in Aivery" Shortcuts action lets you save a memory by voice or automation without opening the app. It restores your API key from the Keychain and sends the memory text to Aivery's servers the same way the in-app chat does.

Sharing from other apps

Using the share sheet to send text or a link to Aivery saves it as a memory on your Aivery account, using the API key Think shares with the extension via its App Group. This is the same write path as saving a memory in-app — nothing is sent anywhere beyond Aivery's own servers.

Notifications

Think can show a local "Memory stored" banner when a memory is saved while the app is in the background. This is scheduled entirely on your device — it's not a push notification, and no notification service is involved.

What we do NOT do

• We do not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs — the app has no third-party dependencies of any kind.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not access your contacts or health data — the app doesn't request those permissions.
• We do not access your photo library beyond an image you actively choose to send.

Children

The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Your choices

You can sign out from Settings at any time, which removes your API key and agent ID from this device. You can delete individual memories and conversations from within the app. Location access can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings, and notifications can be turned off the same way.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
